Hubotics, our next take on automation

Micro accelerating advanced modular robotics platform to provide solution to COVID manufacturing limitations.

For the past 25 years, Micro has been designing and building innovative automation platforms to help change the game for our clients and our industry. Our latest evolution, Hubotics, is a fundamental pivot away from large, expensive, and complicated systems in favor of a rapidly deployable, remote controlled, and easy to integrate modular approach. This ground up redesign has been enabled by the new technologies we had been waiting for to rewrite what is possible in manufacturing robotics.

Our co-bot approach has proven successful in our tests where we have been able to:

  • Deploy them in weeks and not months
  • Include integrated data acquisition to limit shop floor supervision
  • Control them from remote locations to minimize operators
  • Achieve over 90% uptime due to their simplicity and reduce manufacturing engineering needs
  • Design the systems for over 85% reuse.

We continue to accelerate these systems on our shop floor with the goal of doing the diverse work of over 30% of our human labor before the end of this year. This will exponentially reduce the bio burden in our factory as well and significantly lower our cost structure to ride out the uncertainty ahead. As we deploy them for our needs, we realize attributes of our Hubotics system may also help in restarting the factories of our peers.
